Brutalist Altadena Home
The owner comedian, singer, and social activist, Jackie Beat's inspiration was Brutalist architecture and design as well as the dystopian future portrayed in the original Planet of The Apes Films.
Leimert Park Penthouse
This client wanted the design to reflect the African American roots of the neighborhood and to incorporate Art Deco elements, as the building was built in the late 1920’s. We dubbed this style of design Afro Deco.
Echo Park Indo European Condo
This was done for Lisa, an entertainment exec who loves Italian, French, and Indian design. Lisa wanted her home to reflect these elements in a way that is completely unique to her and her sensibilities.
Mod Morrocan Mix
The owner of this house Tomas, loves Clockwork Orange, Elvis Presley, and Moroccan design. All these elements were combined to transform a typical mid-century ranch into a home that is completely original.
Little Tokyo Retro Futuristic Loft
This was done for Jane Wiedlin of The Go Go’s. She wanted to combine her love of mid-century sci-fi décor and Asian elements to reflect the Little Tokyo neighborhood in which this loft is located.
Groovy Recording Studio
This is Tomas’ recording studio that combines the same Mid Century and Moroccan elements into something that has to function as a working recording studio that has a groovy vibe at the same time.
“Such a pleasure to work with this fun-loving professional with an AMAZING eye for design! This is the second house he has helped me with and I could not be more thrilled with the outcome. Run - don't walk - to the phone and call Señor Amor!”
